Affordable Wire Management (AWM) has released the company’s Gen 5S Arden Hanger, designed to optimize cable ampacity, minimize materials and lower costs compared to earlier versions.
The Gen 5S Arden Hanger has been engineered to increase ampacity or lower operating temperatures for cables. Through a detailed analysis, AWM determined that a unique offset results in a more optimal configuration for achieving the most effective cooling and best ampacity performance. The offset of cables ensures better airflow and boosts ampacity by 10% in many cases over the previous Gen5 Hanger.
In addition to performance advancements, the Gen 5S Arden Hanger’s refined asymmetric structure, featuring a slightly shorter hanger and a leaner spine, reduces overall material use without compromising strength and durability. As with all AWM products, the Gen 5S Arden Hanger is manufactured from metal alloys, has a 90-plus-year lifespan, and delivers long-term reliability for owners and operators.
“Product development at AWM is iterative, and we are always finding ways to refine and improve our solutions for the utility-scale industry,” said Scott Rand, CEO and co-founder of AWM. “With the Arden Gen 5S, we have analyzed and determined a hanger that has better ampacity and efficiency, while also providing our partners a more cost-effective, durable offering for PV cable management.”
The new hanger will be on display at ACP Cleanpower 2026 alongside the company’s enhanced Strata suite — Strata Pack, Strata Rail Horizontal and Strata Rail Vertical. Designed for stand-alone storage and hybrid solar-plus-storage power plants, Strata simplifies deployment, improves safety, reduces installation complexity and lowers O&M costs.
