Over the course of two years, Resinc assessed the home’s evolving requirements as new features, including the pool and spa, were completed. Rather than overcapitalising on battery storage, they carefully balanced solar generation, daytime energy consumption, and overnight battery usage to maximise value.

It is an excellent example of why professional system design matters just as much as choosing quality hardware.

Resinc solar: A solar and battery system built for serious performance

The final installation is impressive by any standard.

Resinc installed:

  • 86 solar panels
  • Approximately 40kW of rooftop solar
  • 44kWh of battery storage
  • A premium Fronius inverter and BYD battery solution
  • Load sharing designed to power the home, shed, and pool efficiently

With the solar array installed on the property’s large shed, the system supplies power across multiple buildings while intelligently managing electricity demand. Rather than storing every kilowatt-hour generated during the day, the system makes strategic use of solar production.

High-energy appliances, including the swimming pool pumps, operate during daylight hours while solar production is at its peak. The batteries then provide power overnight, reducing the amount of electricity purchased from the grid.

This approach allows the system to achieve excellent performance without unnecessarily increasing battery capacity.

Battery storage often receives most of the attention, but how electricity is used can be just as important as how much energy is stored. This is where load shifting becomes invaluable.

Battery storage then supports the home’s evening and overnight consumption. Steve estimates that monthly electricity bills have fallen from approximately $1,200 to around $100.
