Leaders from Middletown, Connecticut, and clean energy stakeholders gathered on November 19 to celebrate the completion of a solar energy project at a former landfill site. Developed by West Hartford-based Verogy, the 809-kWDC solar energy system will generate over 1 million kWh of clean energy annually, enough to power an estimated 105 homes per year.

The project, located on a 2.5-acre capped landfill, represents a powerful transformation of previously underutilized land into a productive, sustainable energy resource for the community.
