Solar design platform PVFARM is currently accepting participants for a beta test of its under-development new layout tool. RE PILOT expands on PVFARM’s flagship software to automate solar layout evaluation to help solar teams design an optimal and profitable project, according to a press release.

RE PILOT considers design factors like pitch distance, DC/AC ratios and structural racking when devising layouts. PVFARM is developing RE PILOT to assist solar companies that have small to no large engineering teams.

RE PILOT is built to guide developers quickly to that ‘sweet spot’ — testing options against financial targets and grid constraints in minutes, not days. Beta testing will begin in late April 2026, and will give participants the chance to provide direct feedback to RE PILOT.
