Fronius USA has launched PV Point Comfort, a device that backs up energy to a branch circuit by using power passing through a solar inverter.

Building on the base model PV Point, the PV Point Comfort provides energy while the sun is shining, even without adding a battery. When power from the grid ceases, PV Point Comfort automatically provides backup power.
PV Point Comfort can power a branch circuit to keep critical loads like routers, refrigerators or outdoor circuits online. The system can be installed on an additional circuit board placed directly in the inverter’s connection area.
PV Point Comfort can be retrofitted to existing Fronius GEN24 or GEN24 Plus compatible systems.
