Fronius USA announced the launch of both Fronius GEN24 Plus and UP.storage, an upgrade that transforms the Fronius GEN24 inverter series into the advanced Fronius GEN24 Plus. The GEN24 Plus version and the over-the-air upgrade are available for purchase now.
The Fronius GEN24 Plus allows homeowners to add the upcoming BYD Battery-Box Premium HVM-US to their system, providing a reliable time-of-use solution and providing energy for crucial and entertainment loads, even at night. When purchasing a Fronius GEN24 Plus, all hybrid inverter features are already active. However, any Fronius GEN24 standard version can be upgraded to a Plus version via an over-the-air software upgrade in Fronius Solar.web.
How to upgrade an existing Fronius GEN24 to a GEN24 Plus:
- Battery Compatibility: Ensure your existing Fronius GEN24 inverter is connected to the BYD Battery-Box Premium HVM-US for the UP.storage upgrade.
- Visit the Solar.web Webshop: Access the upgrade in your Solar.web account under the product registration tab.
