The future of home energy is looking bigger, smarter, and far more connected. At the recent Smart Energy 2026 event, Fox ESS arrived with a clear message for Australian households. Solar, battery storage, and EV charging are no longer separate conversations. They now work hand in hand.
As a platinum sponsor of the event, Fox ESS showcased its latest integrated energy solutions, designed to help Australians manage rising electricity costs while improving energy independence. The company highlighted battery systems, inverters, EV chargers, and all-in-one energy solutions aimed squarely at modern Aussie homes.
Fox ESS builds momentum in Australia’s battery market
Battery storage was front and centre at the exhibition, and for good reason. According to Australian solar consultancy SunWiz, Fox ESS ranked number one in March for installation capacity. The company also revealed it installed more than 25,000 systems in April alone.
During the exhibition, SunWiz recognised Fox ESS as the Top Solar Company for Fastest Growing Battery. In a market rapidly embracing home energy storage, that is no small feat. Fox ESS displayed several battery options tailored to different household needs.
High-capacity battery systems for growing energy demands
The CQ7-V6+ High Voltage Battery offers capacities from 42kWh and above. Fox ESS says the system suits medium-sized households and is designed to maximise self-consumption while supporting greater energy freedom.
For smaller homes, the EQ4800 High Voltage Battery delivers 28kWh of storage capacity and focuses on reliable day-to-day energy storage.
Fox ESS also showcased its Stackable AIO and EVO all-in-one systems. These products simplify installation while maintaining a sleek and modern appearance.
With Australian households increasingly adding EVs, electrified appliances, and larger solar systems, bigger batteries are becoming far more attractive. Nobody wants to charge their EV using peak electricity prices while the sun is shining outside.
Inverters designed for Australian conditions
Fox ESS also highlighted its inverter range, built to support Australian solar requirements and high PV oversizing capabilities. The company’s inverter lineup supports up to 200% PV oversizing and includes a 10-year product warranty.
The residential range includes:
- H1-G2 single-phase inverters from 3kW to 6kW
- KH series single-phase inverters from 7kW to 10.5kW
- H3 Smart three-phase inverters from 5kW to 15kW
- H3 Pro three-phase inverters from 15kW to 29.9kW
- H3 Plus commercial three-phase inverters from 50kW to 125kW
This broad range gives installers flexibility across everything from standard homes to larger commercial applications.
EV charging becomes part of the home energy ecosystem
Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly common on Australian roads, and Fox ESS is clearly preparing for that future. The company showcased EV chargers designed to integrate directly with its inverter systems, allowing solar energy to charge EVs more intelligently. These chargers also support dynamic load balancing, helping protect household circuits from overload.
Fox ESS displayed two charger series at the event:
- A Series chargers in 7.3kW, 11kW, and 22kW models
- L Series chargers in 7.3kW and 11kW models
The A Series includes IP65 and IK08 protection ratings and OCPP compatibility, while the L Series focuses on straightforward installation and colour customisation.
Bigger batteries remain in demand
Fox ESS says interest in larger battery systems continues to rise as Australians prepare for a more electrified future. Rising fuel prices, growing EV adoption, and updated rebate policies are all pushing households toward greater storage capacity.
The company also pointed to the Australian Government’s upcoming Solar Sharer Offer (SSO), which is scheduled to begin on 1 July 2026. The program will provide eligible households with three hours of free daily electricity aligned with peak solar generation periods.
Homes with larger batteries will likely be better positioned to maximise those free energy periods and reduce reliance on the grid during expensive evening peaks.
Fox ESS is also collaborating with local virtual power plant partners, including Amber Electric and Origin Energy through Origin Loop VPP. These partnerships aim to help homeowners maximise savings while supporting grid stability.
Fox ESS strengthens its Australian presence
Beyond products, Fox ESS used Smart Energy 2026 to reinforce its long-term commitment to Australia.
The company has opened offices in both Melbourne and Sydney and now has more than 30 local specialists supporting Australian customers.

Australian swimming legend Ian Thorpe also made his first in-person appearance at Fox Night, where he presented awards to partners during the event celebrations. Fox ESS additionally hosted a battery installation challenge featuring eight rounds of competition for installers.
