Pluma Construction, ForeFront Power, Standard Solar and Solstice gathered with project partners, invited guests and community stakeholders at the Pino community solar site in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to celebrate community solar in the state and progress across the eight-project, 48.4-MW portfolio.

Pino community solar project

Developed by New Mexico-based Pluma Construction with support from ForeFront Power, the portfolio was acquired by Standard Solar for long-term ownership and operations, with Solstice leading subscriber acquisition. The portfolio also reflects Standard Solar’s broader commitment to New Mexico, where the company is actively acquiring additional projects.

Held at one of the portfolio’s operating sites, the event featured remarks from project partners and a ribbon cutting recognizing the collaboration behind one of New Mexico’s earliest community solar portfolios.

Seven of the eight solar tracker projects are complete, with the final project, Otero, expected by the end of 2026. Once fully complete, the 48.4-MW portfolio is expected to generate approximately 103,287 MWh in its first year. Across both State Land Trust and privately sited facilities, the portfolio is helping expand access to clean energy and electric bill savings for households across New Mexico.

The portfolio includes the following projects:

  • Pino — Las Vegas, New Mexico, 7.5 MW, 14,710.38 MWh first-year production
  • Curry Road North — Clovis, New Mexico, 4.5 MW, 9,133.90 MWh first-year production
  • Reynolds — Reynolds, New Mexico, 7.0 MW, 15,526.00 MWh first-year production
  • Las Cruces — Las Cruces, New Mexico, 7.6 MW, 16,104.60 MWh first-year production
  • Clovis — Clovis, New Mexico, 5.1 MW, 10,571.24 MWh first-year production
  • Lordsburg — Lordsburg, New Mexico, 5.0 MW, 11,721.24 MWh first-year production
  • Silver City — Silver City, New Mexico, 6.5 MW, 14,460.11 MWh first-year production
  • Otero — Alamogordo, New Mexico, 5.2 MW, 11,059.48 MWh first-year production upon completion
