Trinasolar US announced it is donating more than 1,200 PERC solar modules for use in Wisconsin solar projects through the Couillard Solar Foundation (CSF). The modules, totaling 479 kW, will help power rural households, schools, nonprofits and other community organizations.

“We are deeply committed to supporting the Wisconsin community by actively engaging in partnerships, fostering open communication, encouraging continuing education, and collaborating on initiatives that enhance the quality of life and expand the use of renewable energy,” said Melissa Cavanagh, Marketing Manager at Trinasolar US. “This partnership with the Couillard Solar Foundation is a testament to our shared vision of driving positive change through solar innovation.”

“I’m ecstatic with this donation,” said Cal Couillard, founder of the Couillard Solar Foundation. “Our mission has always been to decrease the burning of fossil fuels in the most direct way possible. We have been donating solar panels to schools and community groups across Wisconsin since 2018, and that has allowed us to help about 275 organizations install their arrays. Trina’s donation is allowing us to expand this program so that even more associations can take advantage of the support and go solar.”

The Couillard Solar Foundation, established in 2017, works to promote the expansion of solar energy in Wisconsin through strategic partnerships with local organizations. The Couillard Solar Foundation is partnering with a local social service agency with a 60-year history of providing weatherization and other energy efficiency support to local residents. The modules donated by Trina will support the development of a new program focused on providing renewable energy solutions for rural households in western Wisconsin. Additional modules may be used to help schools and nonprofits transition to solar energy, fostering long-term environmental and economic benefits for the community.
