Treaty Oak Clean Energy, a U.S. independent power producer, has closed financing and commenced construction on two solar projects in Louisiana: the Beekman Solar Project in Morehouse Parish and the Hollis Creek Solar Project in Sabine Parish. Together, these projects will add 385 MW of new renewable capacity to the state.

“Closing the financing for these two projects during a challenging economic year for renewable energy projects underscores our strong business model and commitment to bringing energy independence to states like Louisiana,” said Chris Elrod, CEO of Treaty Oak. “I’m incredibly proud of our teams and grateful to our financing partners, suppliers and vendors for their collaboration in making these projects a reality while supporting our commitment to build a U.S.-based supply chain for our customers.”

The projects will provide solar to Meta Platforms through recently announced long-term offtake agreements. Beekman’s EPC partners include Blattner Energy for PV construction and Dashiell for high-voltage work, with modules supplied by First Solar and single-axis solar trackers from Nextpower.

“Our partnership with First Solar is another example of our commitment to build a U.S. based supply chain and a joint commitment to Louisiana, where they recently inaugurated their fifth US manufacturing facility,” Elrod said. “We are proud to partner with technology leaders like First Solar who are helping pave for the way for more US manufactured solar modules and the continued growth of affordable and reliable renewable power generation capacity in America.”

Hollis Creek will be constructed by Primoris Renewable Energy, Beta Engineering will build high-voltage facilities and the array will use single-axis trackers from Nextpower.

Both projects are expected to achieve commercial operations in the first half of 2027. Combined, Beekman and Hollis Creek will generate enough clean energy to power approximately 80,000 homes and create approximately 300 jobs during peak construction.
