Sungrow, a globally renowned provider of inverters and energy storage systems, has officially entered into a distribution agreement with Supply Partners Group, a prominent Australian technical distributor catering to residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The accord was formally solidified during the All Energy Expo 2023.

Fortifying a decade-long partnership for Australian renewable energy expansion

The partnership between Sungrow and Supply Partners dates back to 2012, and this newly forged agreement reinforces their commitment to a long-term collaboration in serving the Australian market. Under the terms of the agreement, Sungrow is set to supply 400 MW of inverters to Supply Partners in 2024, with Supply Partners offering direct distribution services across all residential, commercial, and battery divisions.

Sungrow and Supply Partners are not only fortifying their alliance in existing sectors but are also focusing on expanding their presence in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sector, commercial energy storage space, and EV charging markets. A strategic alliance has been formed specifically for C&I batteries under 5 MWh, with the Supply Partners technical team providing support. This newly established C&I Storage alliance is targeting a substantial 50 MWh of storage for the calendar year 2024.

Strengthening collaboration and industry training initiatives

The agreement was formally executed by Joe Zhou, Sungrow Australia’s Country Manager, and John Degotardi, Director of Supply Partners Group. Speaking on the collaboration, Joe Zhou emphasised the opportunity for Sungrow to collaborate with Supply Partners in advancing key areas of battery and EV charging for residential and commercial use in Australia. Zhou expressed optimism, stating, “We look forward to the strong relationship between Sungrow and Supply Partners’ technical teams to build an effective product feedback loop, to better serve our Australian customers.”

John Degotardi reflected on the enduring cooperation between Sungrow and Supply Partners in the Australian market, stating, “Supply Partners Group is privileged with this contract. We are proud this year to have launched New Energy Training, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Australia and look forward to training and accrediting electricians on how to promote and install Sungrow inverters and batteries.”

Important partnership for the Australian market

As an industry leader in renewable energy solutions, Sungrow boasts 27 years of experience and offers a comprehensive range of products and services tailored to the diverse needs of customers in different markets. The company has earned a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and innovation.

Supply Partners Group, a 100% Australian-owned brand in Renewable Energy wholesale distribution and education, operates through its New Energy Training RTO. The Group specialises in supporting Australian solar and battery customers, providing design support and ensuring well-supported renewable energy outcomes.

Both Joe Zhou and John Degotardi express confidence in the long-term partnership, foreseeing a mutually beneficial outcome for Sungrow and Supply Partners in the Australian market. Degotardi added, “Supply Partners’ team is eager to deliver on this contract.”
