This is the 60th project SOLON completed in collaboration with the city of Tuscon. The 1.16-million-sq-ft array is composed of 16,275 solar modules mounted on a single-axis tracker system. The system was energized in August 2025.
Over the next 28 years, the solar project is projected to generate 514.42 GWh of renewable energy, decreasing CAVSARP’s reliance on traditional power sources. The project was completed with no upfront costs to the the city and is estimated to deliver $3,368,344 in energy savings over its lifetime.
“SOLON is thrilled to deliver this groundbreaking solar project that supports the city of Tucson’s ambitious sustainability goals,” said Brian Seibel, president at SOLON. “Our partnership with the City of Tucson demonstrates our shared commitment to advancing clean energy infrastructure and providing solar solutions that deliver meaningful long-term savings.”
