GoodWe, a global leader in solar inverters and smart energy solutions, has achieved two major international sustainability milestones, reinforcing its commitment to transparent, responsible, and climate-focused operations worldwide.
EcoVadis Gold Medal achievement
The company has been awarded a Gold Medal by EcoVadis, achieving an overall score of 82 out of 100. This places GoodWe in the top 5 per cent of companies evaluated globally for sustainability performance. The result reflects strong and consistent practices across environmental management, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
EcoVadis is one of the world’s most trusted providers of business sustainability ratings and is widely used by corporations to assess ESG performance across global supply chains. Achieving Gold under increasingly stringent criteria highlights the maturity of GoodWe’s sustainability management systems and its readiness for evolving global ESG regulations.
CDP Climate Score improvement
GoodWe also strengthened its climate transparency credentials by improving its 2025 Climate Change score from B minus to B under CDP, advancing into the Management level for climate performance. This improvement reflects stronger integration of climate risk, enhanced energy performance, and more robust environmental disclosure under CDP’s more rigorous assessment framework.
Climate change is treated as a double materiality issue within GoodWe’s sustainability strategy and is embedded across governance and operational decision-making. Oversight sits with an ESG Strategy and Management Committee, while execution is led by the Sustainable Development Research Institute. This structure supports climate risk assessment, greenhouse gas verification, and environmental performance tracking across operations and supply chains.
GoodWe continues to advance low-carbon manufacturing, lifecycle-based product design, and energy efficiency improvements. The company is also among the early players in the solar industry to complete Scope 3 emissions verification, strengthening visibility across its value chain.
Walking the talk
Beyond climate action, GoodWe demonstrates leadership in ethical business conduct and responsible sourcing. The company maintains strong compliance frameworks, internal controls, and risk management processes, while actively promoting sustainable procurement through supplier ESG standards, a Supplier Code of Conduct, and ongoing supplier risk assessments.
Commenting on the EcoVadis recognition, Dr Kenan Zhang, Director of the Sustainable Development Research Institute at GoodWe, said:
“Receiving the Gold Medal reflects our year-on-year improvements in terms of responsible and sustainable development. Looking ahead, GoodWe will continue to strengthen its ESG roadmap, enhance transparency, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to support the development of a more resilient, efficient, and sustainable energy ecosystem worldwide.”
GoodWe plans to further deepen its climate governance framework, expand carbon management across both organisational and product levels, and work closely with industry partners to accelerate the global clean energy transition.
