Fronius and MidNite Solar announced company testing has been completed, showing full compatibility between the Fronius GEN24 string inverter and Midnite Rosie battery inverter.
The efficiency of the GEN24 string inverter allows for self-consumption, while the AC-coupled Midnite battery inverter gives homeowners an option to connect a low-voltage DC battery to keep the lights on during critical-power conditions.
Advantages of AC coupling:
- Easy to retrofit into existing systems
- No need to add a separate solar array
- Supports future expansion of battery based OR string inverter system
The two companies will hold a webinar next year on January 15 to discuss pairing the two inverters on projects.
