After announcing new 25% tariffs on products from Canada and Mexico in February and then pausing them due to temporary agreements, the White House said it is going forward with them.

According to the White House, the tariffs will go into effect today, March 4, because the countries did not “adequately address” cartel activity.

A few major U.S. solar suppliers will be affected by these new tariffs, including solar panel manufacturers Heliene, Silfab and Maxeon and inverter manufacturer Hoymiles.
