Located on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, the new facility aims to bring clean energy technologies closer to Australian households, businesses, and communities.

Powered entirely by Sungrow’s own inverter and battery systems, the building also serves as a real-world example of how commercial properties can operate efficiently and sustainably.
The opening ceremony attracted several notable guests, including Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli, Member for Caloundra Kendall Hatcher MP, renewable energy industry representatives, community leaders, and Sungrow Australia executives. Their attendance highlighted the growing collaboration between industry, government, and local communities in accelerating Australia’s clean energy transition.
Why the Sunshine Coast?
The Sunshine Coast was selected due to its strong sustainability focus and growing commitment to renewable energy initiatives.
Beyond showcasing products, the Hub aims to become a community asset by partnering with local residents, businesses, schools, universities, and non-profit organisations. Sungrow plans to deliver technical training, sustainability education programs, and community events designed to increase renewable energy awareness and support local development.
The company also reinforced its commitment to the region by donating two energy storage systems to local charities.

Supporting Australian installers and communities
Sungrow says the Experience Hub will work closely with local installation partners to ensure visitors receive trusted advice and professional support.
The company also plans to host a range of renewable energy workshops and events tailored to homeowners, first-time buyers, commercial developers, corporate partners, educational institutions, and government representatives.

Yang also revealed the company’s broader ambitions for the concept.
“Following 14 years of continuous support from the local community, we made the significant decision to establish this experience hub on the Sunshine Coast. Our long-term vision is to replicate this model across major towns and cities in Australia, creating more opportunities for renewable energy education, community engagement, local employment, and sustainable infrastructure.”
