This is ASA’s second facility in Syracuse. The company hopes to shorten product lead times and introduce new processing capabilities in this new plant.
“This expansion is a direct response to what we’re hearing from the market,” said Sam Blatchford, president of ASA. “Our customers in data centers, defense and energy are scaling fast, and they need a domestic manufacturer who can scale with them. That’s exactly what we’re building in Syracuse.”
ASA entered the solar foundations market in February with its ground screw solution. Ground screws are designed to embed in less-than-ideal soil conditions, such as sites with glacial till, cobble or bedrock. ASA is vertically integrated and handles production from raw domestic steel through final product. This new facility has made additional space for for processing, fabrication and fulfillment.
ASA now operates more than 450,000 sq ft of manufacturing and processing space across facilities in Maine, Massachusetts, New York and New Hampshire. The company’s Syracuse locations are hubs for steel processing and distribution.
