Description
MultiPlus-II Inverter/Charger
Overview
The MultiPlus-II is a versatile and powerful inverter/charger that combines all the features of the original MultiPlus with additional enhancements. It is designed to optimize self-consumption with external current sensing and includes PowerControl and PowerAssist functionalities. The MultiPlus-II also features built-in anti-islanding and a growing list of country approvals, making it a highly reliable choice for energy storage systems.
Key Features
Unique PowerAssist: Prevents overload of a limited AC source by reducing battery charging and boosting shore side supply with power taken from the battery.
Energy Storage System: Combines with MPPT Solar Chargers or Grid-tie PV Inverters for enhanced energy storage capabilities.
UPS Function: Automatically takes over in the event of a grid failure in less than 20 milliseconds, ensuring continuous operation of connected devices.
Remote Monitoring and Control: Access the system from a phone, tablet, laptop, or PC across multiple operating systems for convenient monitoring and control.
Advanced Functionalities
The MultiPlus-II extends the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to 100A, providing additional capacity to boost the grid or generator power. This ensures that even during peak demand, the system can compensate for insufficient generator, shore, or grid power by utilizing power from the battery. When the load decreases, the spare power is used to recharge the battery, optimizing the overall energy usage.
Solar Energy Integration
The MultiPlus-II is compatible with both off-grid and grid-connected PV systems, including solar charger controllers and grid-tie inverters. This versatility allows for seamless integration into various energy systems, providing reliable AC power even during a grid failure.
Flexible Configuration
With the ability to operate in parallel, split phase, and three-phase configurations, the MultiPlus-II offers virtually unlimited power output. Up to six units can be connected in parallel, providing substantial power output and charging capacity. Additionally, it supports remote configuring and monitoring via the internet, allowing for easy system adjustments and access to operational data through the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
