Across the DELMARVA region, the potential for new solar energy installations is being stifled by restrictions imposed by utility companies. Unfortunately, these limitations are only increasing with more areas facing restrictions.

If you reside in the Parsonsburg, MD region, you’re next to be added to the list of restricted areas. The Paradise Energy team has recently been notified that Choptank is permitting the installation of only an additional 350 kW of level two solar in this area. This limited capacity will be snatched up in no time, so don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to save your hard-earned money.

Why are Choptank and Delmarva Power restricting solar installations on the peninsula?

These restrictions are due to an aging infrastructure that is not prepared to handle the input of electricity generation from solar energy systems.

What does this mean for you?

The time to invest in solar is NOW! If you’re ready to take control of your electricity bill and add immediate savings to your bottom line, it’s time to speak with our solar consultant team to see if a solar investment makes sense for you.

Is solar worth it in our area?

Paradise Energy Solutions has empowered hundreds of businesses, farmers, and homeowners throughout the DELMARVA region to unlock substantial savings through solar energy. View some of those installations here.

The chart below provides a glimpse at what a 100 kW solar system investment would look like for a business or farm with an average monthly electric bill of about $1,200.

Here’s a glimpse of what a solar investment could offer homeowners with an average monthly electric bill of $180. A system designed to meet this electricity usage would be approximately 15 kW in size.

What incentives are available for solar?

There is currently a 30% federal tax credit available.

The pot is even sweeter for businesses and farmers. If you fall into this category, you could qualify for additional 10% tax credit adders, accelerated depreciation, and a 50% USDA grant.

Maryland also offers a $1,000 grant for systems up to 20 kW.
